PDM10 Testimonials
“Skywide Design was a first-time exhibitor at PDM10 and we had strong demand for our visual animation and design services. The quality of enquires was very high, with many people coming to us with specific projects in mind.”
Andrew Kelly, Creative Director, Skywide Design
“PDM has been a good show for us again this year and we have a met more start-up companies than in previous years. We also had two enquiries last week arising from our attendance at last year’s event!”
Stuart Lovett, Marketing Manager, Rutland Plastics
“We launched the Polymer Training & Innovation Centre on the first day of PDM this year and it has gone so well it has certainly exceeded our expectations.”
Georgina Parker, Director, Polymer Training & Innovation Centre, City of Wolverhampton College
“Lawson Keys was a first time exhibitor at PDM10. We generated £140K worth of enquiries and expect to win £100K worth of business from our presence at the event. As a result we will need to appoint two more Technical Consultants / Account Managers to join our established team to accommodate the new business. This event has both promoted the Lawson Keys brand as well as being instrumental for our new website launch. We have attracted more technical skilled candidates and met with a broad range of existing & new business customers, thus we have already invested in a Stand for pdm11, - a must attend event.”
Mark Lawson, Managing Director, Lawson Keys
“PDM has been a fantastic show. We have successfully introduced Ward Polymers to 90% of the visitors and I estimate we will be able to supply 50% of them. This year’s event has been an excellent springboard for us and I am really looking forward to building on our success at pdm11.”
Tony Ward, Managing Director, Ward Polymers
“In our business there is no substitute for meeting people face to face. PDM is the perfect place for us to network with suppliers, customers and potential new customers. Our time here is always well spent.”
Anthony Goff, Technical Manager, G&A Moulding Technology
“This has been our third year at PDM and what I like most about this event is you don’t get any timewasters. We’ve met new customers again this year and I fully expect to generate new business from our being here.”
Fred Miers, UK representative, New Star Mold
“Among its many sales and marketing activities Telsonic sees great value in getting involved in projects at the design stage. By exhibiting at PDM we can meet potential future partners and add more value by getting involved in applications earlier. We are expecting pdm11 to give us even greater access to the design community.”
Martin Frost, Area Sales Manager, Telsonic UK
Krauss Maffei
“Within a few hours of PDM10 opening we had sold a KM160CX packaging machine to Patterson and Rothwell and we had quotes out to two other customers,” said Mike Bate, managing director of Krauss Maffei UK.
“Having one of our machines here at PDM10 has made all the difference,” added Richard Mumford, general sales manager. “Customers come here specifically to see our equipment and that helps us to close a deal. On Wednesday we sold two 100 tonne all-electric machines to a customer from Ireland.”
Masterflow
On the first morning of the show MasterFlow UK sold another of its hot runner systems to established customer UB Plastics. Steve Brown Sales Director and Andy Cox Production Director signed the deal on the MasterFlow stand at PDM10.
UB Plastics makes plastic tamper-evident seals for use on aluminium beer kegs. They already supply a wide range of household names including Carlsberg, Coors and InBev as well as many smaller brewers like Fuller Smith and Turner. The new hot runner is required for their new contract to supply Guinness in the UK with 36,000 keg caps per day. UB Plastics already manufactures 200,000 keg caps every day and will see production rise even further as beer sales peak for this summer’s football world cup.
“PDM has been a fantastic show for us,” says Chris Whitlam, Managing Director of MasterFlow UK. “We have seen a good mix of new and existing customers, who have all come here to do business.”
Visitor Testimonial
“This is my first visit to PDM. I came here to bounce ideas off plastics suppliers and moulders. It’s been a very useful exercise to come along today and I will be recommending that some of my buyer colleagues come to next year’s event in London.”
