BASF hammers home advantage for Bosch drill design

From PRW.com, 2 November 2009

Bosch has launched a cordless hammer drill, the GBH 36 V-LI, made of BASF’s Ultramid B3EG7, a highly rigid and impact-resistant glass fibre-reinforced grade of polyamide 6.

For this challenging application, Bosch needed a resin that could withstand the loads applied to the drill during use and chose Ultramid B3EG7 because it met this requirement and also because of its impact resistance and durability.

In addition, the resin is UL-listed (Underwriters Laboratories), and can therefore be used in power tools intended for the US market.
