Philips Senseo Quadrante

Polish-Dutch joint venture company Bianor provided injection moulding support to the Philips design team for the Senseo Quadrante coffee machine.

The new square-shaped coffee maker is an evolution of the popular Senseo line which previously had a curved shape.

Bianor’s engineering team managed the production, testing, delivery and production start up of 32 complex moulds. The project included the supply and assembly of three key sub-components next to the supply of all plastics parts of the unit.

Bianor said early supplier involvement and co-engineering is key to giving customers the best support, leafding to better outcomes in terms of cost and speed to market.

Kees Donkers, director of New Product Introduction Supply Europe at Philips Consumer Lifestyle, said: “The team working with us, has contributed to design improvements, reducing the complexity of the manufacturing process. In the end we received excellent service and the project had a very fast implementation and ramp-up.”
